WHO Bangladesh Administrative Officer Thinlay Dorji Passes Away After Battling Cancer

Thinlay Dorji, an esteemed Administrative Officer at the World Health Organization (WHO) Bangladesh, has passed away on 14 September 2024 after a courageous fight with cancer. Dorji’s death has been met with deep sorrow from colleagues and friends alike. He was remembered as a kind, caring, and warm individual who made significant contributions to his field.

"May his soul rest in peace, and may his family and dear ones have the strength to bear the loss," commented Dinar Ahmed, who had the privilege of working with Dorji. Maleeha Sheefa echoed similar sentiments, stating, "He was a kind and caring soul. May his departed soul rest in peace." Tributes also came in from Somen Biswas and Farid Ahmed, who both offered their condolences and wished peace for Dorji’s soul.

Dorji’s passing marks a significant loss to the WHO community, where he was respected not only for his professional expertise but also for his personal warmth and kindness.
