Vancouver Resident David Dircksen Diagnosed with Aggressive Cancers, Family Seeks Community Support

Vancouver, WA – David Dircksen, a beloved member of the Vancouver community, has been diagnosed with two aggressive cancers—lung cancer and pancreatic cancer, a condition that affects less than half a percent of individuals. His diagnosis came as a shock to his friends and family, with doctors estimating only a few weeks left for him after hospice care was initiated.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by Heather Fuller to help ease the financial burden on David’s family during this difficult time. The fundraiser, titled "Help David Dircksen’s Family in Their Time of Need," has raised $800 so far, with a goal of $10,000. Three donors, including Brandi Call with a contribution of $100, Heather Fuller with $500, and Traci Williams with $200, have stepped forward to support the cause.

Heather Fuller, who organized the fundraiser, expressed her deep sorrow in a Facebook post, writing, “Friends/Family~ I have started this GoFundMe for our close friend David Dircksen, who has suddenly been diagnosed with cancer. We are devastated by this sad news… If you could please donate to help take the stress off the family and unnecessary cost I know it would be appreciated. If you can’t donate, please share so we can get the word out. Thank you so much!! We LOVE YOU DAVID!!”

The community is rallying behind David and his family, with many offering prayers and words of support. Heather Fuller also shared in the post, “We were shocked by what we thought was months left is now weeks… I’m asking if you pray, please pray for comfort and less pain for David, and comfort for his wife Brooke, kids, grandkids, and his extended family.”

David’s family and friends are deeply grateful for the donations and shared posts, hoping to raise enough funds to alleviate financial concerns during this challenging time. Those interested in helping can still contribute to the fundraiser and spread the word.

Heather Fuller continues to urge others to donate and share, emphasizing the importance of supporting the Dircksen family in their time of need.
