Tragic Wrong-Way Crash on K-96 Claims Lives of Randall and Eli Henrickson in Wichita, Kansas

Wichita, Kansas – A heart-wrenching accident on K-96 has claimed the lives of Randall Henrickson, 42, and his 11-year-old son, Eli Henrickson. The tragic collision occurred on Friday evening when their vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. as Randall and Eli were traveling westbound on K-96 near the 13th Street exit. Their Ram 1500 truck was hit head-on by a Dodge Durango driven by 38-year-old Amanda Fleming, who was traveling in the opposite direction. The force of the impact caused their truck to spin and then hit another vehicle before bursting into flames. Both Randall and Eli were pronounced dead at the scene.

Amanda Fleming also lost her life in the crash. The investigation into the circumstances leading to the wrong-way driving is ongoing, with initial reports suggesting possible impaired driving. The crash highlights the severe risks associated with wrong-way driving and the devastating impact of such incidents.

The community is deeply mourning the loss of Randall and Eli Henrickson. On Facebook, Rico Animations expressed condolences, stating, “REST IN PEACE: 11-year-old Eli Henrickson and his father Randall were killed Friday night when a wrong-way driver struck the vehicle they were in on K-96 in Wichita. Randall was a loving father of 4 who always put his kids before himself, and Eli was absolutely adored by everyone who knew him.”
