West Kent, England – Tony Finn, a beloved member of the West Kent Radio community, passed away on September 15, 2024, after several months of battling ill health. Tony, whose full name was David Anthony Finn, had been an integral part of the station since joining in 1997, contributing to its success in various roles over the years.

Tony initially joined Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells (HRTW) and quickly became a vital member of the team. His dedication led him to serve on the station’s committee, where he held numerous important positions, including Membership Secretary and Fundraising Coordinator. His leadership and tireless efforts were key in ensuring the continued success of West Kent Radio.

Colleagues and friends remember Tony not only for his professional contributions but also for his warmth and kindness. He was a mentor to many, known for his generosity and commitment to the station’s mission. His passing is a significant loss for the West Kent Radio community, where he was cherished by all who knew him.

Tributes have poured in on social media, reflecting the profound impact Tony had on those around him. Chris Manser shared, “It is with much sadness we have been informed that David Anthony Finn, known to us as Tony Finn, passed away yesterday after several months of ill health… Sending heartfelt condolences to his wife Noreen and his family. Rest in Peace, Tony, we will miss you.”
