Sharon Anderson Passes Away After Battle with Cancer; Fundraiser Launched to Cover Funeral Expenses

Junction City, Kentucky – Sharon Anderson has sadly passed away after a courageous fight with small cell cancer. Diagnosed in July 2023 with a prognosis of just three months, Sharon defied the odds, battling the disease with immense strength and determination.

Her grandson, Joshua Wilson, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her funeral. Sharon, affectionately known as "Nana" to her family, passed away on September 16, 2024. Joshua expressed his admiration for his grandmother’s resilience, noting how she never complained about her condition, even on her worst days.

In place of flowers, the family is requesting donations to help reach a goal of $10,000 to cover Sharon’s funeral expenses. As of now, $240 has been raised from six donors.

Among those who have contributed are Katelin Byrd ($50), Jennifer Young ($25), and Donnie Conatser ($100). The community is coming together to support Sharon’s family during this difficult time.

Joshua Wilson and the family are deeply grateful for any support, as they honor Sharon’s memory and prepare to say their final goodbyes.
