Myalup, Western Australia – Shane "Shaz" (Haz, Hairy) Hassett tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident on September 3, 2024. The accident occurred while he was on his way home, and although he managed to call his family initially, he could not survive the severe injuries he sustained.
Shane’s sudden passing has left his family devastated. A fundraiser has been organized by Allan Menz on behalf of Shakira Hassett to help cover the costs of his funeral and other associated expenses. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $450 AUD from five donations towards a $10,000 AUD goal.
Several people have shared their thoughts and donations in memory of Shane. Brenda and Iain Spence contributed $50, while Kerensa Ward donated $100. Gail Hayden gave $250, and Rebecca Bastow added $20 to the fund. An anonymous donor also contributed $30.
The community continues to rally behind Shane’s family, offering both financial and emotional support during this difficult time.
