Attleboro, Massachusetts – Martha Sullivan, the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Sensata Technologies, has reportedly passed away at the age of 66. This news, which initially circulated on social media, has yet to be confirmed by her family or the company.

Sullivan, who joined Sensata Technologies as a director in February 2013, served as CEO and President from 2013 to 2020. During her tenure, she was instrumental in driving the company’s growth, including expanding its reach through 11 acquisitions and increasing revenues from $1.9 billion in 2012 to $3.5 billion in 2018. Her leadership also saw the evolution of the company’s global manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Sullivan retired after a distinguished 35-year career with Sensata and its predecessor company, Texas Instruments. Even in retirement, she continued to contribute as a member of the Board of Directors and in an advisory capacity, focusing on innovation and strategic guidance.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Michigan Tech and an MBA holder from the University of Michigan, Sullivan began her career with Texas Instruments in 1984. Her contributions to Sensata Technologies and her involvement in various boards and educational initiatives for young women in STEM have left a lasting impact.
