Sedalia, MO – Cecil Leo Gerke, a beloved resident of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 11, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on April 19, 1946, Cecil’s life was marked by his devotion to his family, faith, and the community he cherished.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Cecil on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent de Paul Parish. The service will be officiated by Father Joe Corel. Friends and family are also invited to attend a visitation the evening before, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel. Prayers of the Rosary will be said at 5:45 p.m. Cecil will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia.
In lieu of flowers, the Gerke family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The Sacred Heart School Foundation or the Trinity Lutheran School in Alma, Missouri. Donations can be sent in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
