Saraland Resident Brittany Goolsby Dies in Tragic Car Accident on September 2, 2024, with Funeral Arrangements Announced

Saraland, AL – Brittany Goolsby, a 34-year-old resident of Saraland, tragically lost her life in a car accident on September 2, 2024. The accident, which occurred early in the morning on Labour Day, also claimed the lives of Richard D. Dees, Jr., 41, and Savana M. Fuell, 28, both from Mount Vernon. A newborn was also reported deceased. The collision involved a 2016 Ford Explorer that veered off the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed the identities of the victims and noted that the survivors, including 30-year-old Kalan A. Weaver from McIntosh, were transported to University Hospital in Mobile for treatment. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Brittany Goolsby, born on December 5, 1989, in Mobile, AL, was known for her vibrant personality and love for her family and friends. Her obituary highlights her passion for shopping, journaling, and Alabama football, and she was deeply devoted to her children.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on September 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a chapel service to follow at 1:30 p.m. Her memory will be cherished by her loved ones, who will remember her as a caring mother and a social butterfly.
