The accident, which occurred early in the morning on Labour Day, also claimed the lives of Richard D. Dees, Jr., 41, and Savana M. Fuell, 28, both from Mount Vernon. A newborn was also reported deceased. The collision involved a 2016 Ford Explorer that veered off the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed the identities of the victims and noted that the survivors, including 30-year-old Kalan A. Weaver from McIntosh, were transported to University Hospital in Mobile for treatment. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
