Robert W. Peters of Fostoria, Ohio, Passes Away at Age 60

Fostoria, Ohio – Robert W. Peters, known affectionately as "Bones," has passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024, at the age of 60. His death was announced by his family, who shared that he passed while surrounded by his two children, Bobby and Brittney, reflecting the deep bond they shared.

Robert was born and raised in Fostoria, Ohio, to parents Robert L. Peters and Barbara J. (Aldrich) Conway. A graduate of Lakota High School and Vanguard, Robert retired from his career as a laborer at Clarke – American Lincoln in Bowling Green. Throughout his life, he found joy in simple pleasures, including his love for NASCAR and football, especially his unwavering support for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his passion for sports, Robert’s greatest pride was his family, particularly the special relationship he had with his grandson, Alexander. Their adventures brought great purpose to his life, and these memories remain a cherished legacy. His beloved dog, Nora, was also a constant source of companionship.

Robert leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Bobby Peters (Adrianne Harvey) and Brittney Peters-Everding (Taylor Peters-Everding), his mother, Barbara J. Conway, his brother, William L. Peters (Penny), and his sister, Susan A. Weaver (Earl). He is also survived by his former wife, Jennifer A. (Hershey) Peters. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Peters, and his stepfather, Robert Conway.

A devoted member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, Robert’s faith and love for his community were central to his life. The family will announce a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made through a GoFundMe page to help offset medical expenses. Arrangements are being handled by Hoening & Son Funeral Home in Fostoria.
