Richard Eugene “Pa” Orvold of Hanna, Oklahoma, Passes Away at Age 67

Hanna, Oklahoma – Richard Eugene “Pa” Orvold Jr., a beloved resident of Hanna, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 67. Born on June 12, 1957, in the Philippines, Richard lived a vibrant and full life dedicated to his family, passions, and community.

Richard, the son of Richard Eugene Orvold Sr. and Lilly (Pascalual) Orvold, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared 45 years of marriage with his wife, Cecelia Grider, creating a legacy of love and companionship that touched everyone around him.

His passions included fishing, boating, and working on wood and trim projects. One of his greatest joys was his Barracuda car, reflecting his enthusiasm for life and attention to detail.

Richard is survived by his wife Cecelia; son Shawn Hutton and wife Shandell of Luck, Wisconsin; daughters Jessy Orvold-Davis and husband Joey Davis of Hanna, Jennifer Orvold and Victor Sanchez of Hanna, and Kristie Jones and husband Dustin of Hanna. His memory is also cherished by his mother, Lilly Orvold, his sisters, Carol Meisner of Cheteck, Wisconsin, and Lillian Johnston and husband Tracey of Laberrin, Wisconsin, along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Orvold Sr.; a grandchild, Clinton Hammontree Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Greg Meisner.

His family will honor his life and legacy through a celebration, remembering him as a man who brought love, joy, and light to those who knew him.
