Randy "Rann" Allen of White Settlement Passes Away at 64 After Courageous 17-Month Battle with ALS

White Settlement, Texas – Randy "Rann" Allen, a longtime resident and business owner in White Settlement, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024, after a 17-month battle with ALS. He was 64 years old, surrounded by family and friends during his final moments.

Rann, born on July 11, 1960, was well-known for his love of cars and his exceptional skills in restoring them. For more than 30 years, he owned and operated The Body Shop, where he transformed damaged cars into immaculate showpieces. His passion for cars started in his childhood on the dirt racetrack with his parents, which later evolved into a lifelong career. His talent in paint and bodywork made him a sought-after expert, with Lincoln and other car enthusiasts seeking his skills.

Rann was especially proud of his 1976 Lincoln Mark IV Lipstick Edition, which he frequently showcased at car shows across Texas and beyond.

Beyond his automotive talents, Rann was also a gifted painter. He created artwork for friends and family, bringing the same dedication and passion to his paintings as he did to his car restorations. His love of beauty extended to his yard and flower gardens, where he was known for having an immaculate garden. Rann often joked that he could plant a crowbar and make it grow, and he enjoyed sharing his gardening tips with neighbors and friends.

Rann’s generosity and kindness were well-known throughout the community. He volunteered his time and donated artwork to help raise funds for the Rhonda Mae Wall of Food, a charity focused on feeding those less fortunate. His sense of humor, love of life, and penchant for practical jokes made him a beloved figure, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rann was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Jerry Allen. He is survived by his husband of over 31 years, Brian Seibel; his brother Jamie Allen; his sisters Katrina Alexander and Velina Morris; and his fur baby, Shadow. Rann also leaves behind a large circle of friends who were like family to him.

A celebration of his life will be held on September 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Celebration Community Church, located at 908 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rhonda Mae Wall of Food or the ALS Foundation, honoring Rann’s wishes.
