Prominent Scientist Natalio Mingo Passes Away After Tragic Accident

Natalio Mingo, a distinguished scientist known for his work in theoretical studies of scanning tunneling microscopy and thermoelectric materials, has died following a tragic accident. Mingo, who was 54 years old, passed away after being in a coma for an undisclosed period.

Mingo’s career spanned multiple countries and prestigious institutions. He completed his PhD at the Autonomous University of Madrid under the guidance of Fernando Flores and later worked at Ames Research Center, NASA in the USA. His significant contributions to the field were recognized through various professional collaborations, including a notable period at CEA in Grenoble.

Stephan Roche, a former colleague, shared heartfelt reflections on Mingo’s passing: "Natalio was a truly enthusiastic and engaged scientist who had an impact without seeking personal glory. His passing is a tragedy for his wife and three kids. He will be remembered fondly for the unique connection we shared."

Avik Ghosh also expressed his condolences, acknowledging Mingo’s lasting contributions to science.

Mingo’s death represents a significant loss to the scientific community, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and quiet excellence.
