His passing has deeply affected his family, friends, and the community, where Paul’s kindness, love, and vibrant personality were cherished.

Paul was born in Dilworth, the youngest of five children of Arlo and Delores “Penny” Douglas. He remained a central figure in the community throughout his life. A dedicated husband, he married Kristy Larson, his high school sweetheart, in August 1981. Together, they raised their two sons, Patrick and Jared, in Dilworth, where Paul worked for the BNSF Railroad for 41 years, ending his career as a Road Foreman of Engines.

In retirement, Paul pursued his dream of owning a lake home and spent his winters in Arizona, surrounded by family and friends. He was especially proud of his role as “Papa Paul” to his grandchildren, Lucy and Isaac.
