Partick Thistle FC Mourns the Loss of Beloved Matchday Volunteer Calum Roberts

Glasgow, Scotland – The Partick Thistle FC community is deeply saddened by the passing of Calum Roberts, one of the club’s cherished Matchday Volunteers. Calum passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, leaving behind a lasting impact on the club and its supporters.

Calum and his wife, Janet, were familiar faces at the North Concourse of the Jackie Husband Stand, where they regularly sold programs and Half Time 50/50 tickets on matchdays. Known for their warm personalities and dedication, they helped create a welcoming atmosphere for fans attending the games. Calum’s sudden passing has shocked the close-knit volunteer team and the broader Partick Thistle FC family.

In tribute, the club shared funeral details, stating that the service will take place at Craigton Crematorium on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m. This will be a chance for friends, family, and the football community to gather and honor Calum’s memory.

Many supporters and fellow volunteers have expressed their sorrow and shared their condolences for the Roberts family. Some heartfelt tributes left on Facebook include:
