Oakland Woman, Marylene Reed, Passes Away; Family Seeks Support for Grandsons

Oakland, CA – Marylene Reed, a beloved member of the Oakland community, passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 64 due to health complications. Marylene, born on May 6, 1960, was the primary caregiver for her two grandsons, Nosyek Stearn (16) and Keyson Williams (23), both of whom affectionately called her "mom."

Her sudden passing has left her grandsons in a challenging situation, as they now have to manage their basic needs on their own. A fundraiser has been set up by Joseph Blasher to help support Nosyek and Keyson during this difficult time. The funds raised will go toward essential items like groceries, cleaning supplies, dishes, and laundry expenses as the young men navigate their future without Marylene.

The GoFundMe campaign, organized under the category of Funerals & Memorials, has a goal of $3,000. So far, $3,000 has been raised, and the family is seeking continued support to reach their goal.

Blasher, who organized the fundraiser, expressed deep gratitude for any contributions and shared that all donations, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden on Nosyek and Keyson as they face this new chapter in their lives.

Anyone interested in helping the family during this difficult time can contribute to the fundraiser, with every donation offering vital support.
