Moreno Valley Community Mourns the Loss of Nestor Lopez; Fundraiser Launched to Honor His Memory

Moreno Valley, California – The Moreno Valley community is grieving the untimely loss of Nestor Lopez, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 14. Nestor was admitted to the hospital on September 2nd and his death has left friends and family deeply saddened.

Nestor Lopez, known for his kind and respectful nature, was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He had a passion for hiking, swimming, and skating, which endeared him to many. In memory of Nestor, a fundraiser has been organized by Hely Lopez to cover the costs of a special funeral on what would have been Nestor’s 15th birthday, September 23rd.

As of today, the fundraiser has raised $715 out of a $15,000 goal, with contributions from several donors including Monica Buhler, who donated $200, and Alyssa Wright, who contributed $25. The community’s response highlights the deep affection and respect they had for Nestor.

Donations are still being accepted to ensure Nestor receives the memorable farewell he deserves. The family and friends of Nestor appreciate the support during this difficult time and hope to honor his life in a meaningful way.
