Max Wonka, 31-Year-Old Lincoln Resident, Identified as Victim in Fatal South Folsom Street Crash

Lincoln, Nebraska – The Lincoln Police Department has confirmed that Max Wonka, a 31-year-old resident of Lincoln, was the victim in a fatal crash on Monday night. The accident occurred along South Folsom Street near West Prospector Court, around 10:20 p.m. on September 9, 2024.

Wonka was driving a pickup truck that left the road, went into a ditch, then over a levee before rolling into the Haines Branch Creek. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather evidence.
