Maryville Couple Bryceton and Whitney Hicks in Critical Condition After Motorcycle Accident – Community Rallying for Support

Maryville, Tennessee – Bryceton and Whitney Hicks, a couple with three young children, are in urgent need of community support following a severe motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday, September 14th.

The Hicks family was involved in a head-on collision with a careless driver. Bryceton sustained severe injuries, including a protruding femoral fracture, fractured tibia and fibula, and a shattered ankle. Whitney suffered a spinal compression fracture and has been discharged from the hospital.

Two bystanders who acted quickly to apply a tourniquet were credited with saving Bryceton’s life. He remains at the University of Tennessee Hospital where medical professionals are working to prevent amputation of his leg.

A GoFundMe campaign organized by Charity Dockery has raised $150 of the $10,000 goal to assist with medical and recovery expenses. The Hicks family faces a long recovery, potentially spanning 8 months to a year, involving multiple surgeries and rehabilitation.

Community members and supporters are encouraged to donate to the fund or contact Charity Dockery directly for alternative ways to assist the family during this challenging time.
