Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario – Mark Sutcliffe, a beloved alumnus of Stouffville District Secondary School, has tragically passed away in a shooting that took place at Bayview Park in Keswick. The news of his untimely death has left family, friends, and the community heartbroken.

York Regional Police confirmed that two individuals lost their lives in the early hours of Wednesday, following a shooting in the quiet neighborhood. Authorities were called to the scene at around 7:30 a.m. after reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds, both of whom were pronounced dead on the scene. The Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case, although no suspect information is available yet.

Police have described the incident as isolated and assured the public that there is no immediate threat to safety. Schools in the vicinity were briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution but were not directly involved in the shooting.

Many friends of Mark Sutcliffe took to Facebook to express their sorrow and share memories of him.
