Madera, California – Marie Rodriguez, who had been fighting stage 4 lung cancer since August 2022, has passed away. The news was confirmed by her daughter, Alexis Vazquez, who has organized a fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses.
Marie Rodriguez succumbed to her illness on Saturday, September 14, 2024. A funeral service is scheduled to be held at The Shrine of Saint Therese.
The family has set up a fundraiser to assist with the costs of the service. As of now, $615 has been raised out of a $1,000 goal. Donations have come from several individuals including $100 contributions from Jose Mendoza and anonymous donors.
Alexis Vazquez expressed gratitude for the support and prayers extended to her family during this difficult time.
