LSU Student Brooks Prejean Dies in Tragic Incident – Lafayette Community Mourns

The communities of Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana, are grieving the untimely loss of Brooks Prejean, a medical student at LSU. Brooks, who was much loved by his peers, tragically passed away after battling depression. He died after reportedly jumping from a bridge.

Brooks Prejean was a graduate of the Episcopal School of Acadiana and worked as an Organ Recovery Technician at Southern Eye Bank. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department responded to an incident at an overpass in Lafayette, Louisiana, where Brooks was found.
