Lorenzo Castillo Found Deceased in Webb County, Texas After Days of Search Efforts

Webb County, Texas – The search for Lorenzo Castillo, a missing Laredo man, has come to a tragic end. Lorenzo, who had been unaccounted for since Friday, September 13, 2024, was found deceased, as confirmed by his family on social media.

Lorenzo Castillo, an employee of Nine Energy in Pleasanton, Texas, was last seen between Encinal and Laredo, Texas, while on his way to a job site. His 18-wheeler, used for cement delivery, was discovered parked on a lease road leading to an oil rig, but Lorenzo was not found at the scene. His personal belongings, including his keys, wallet, and phone, were left behind, raising alarm among his loved ones.

Family and friends described his disappearance as highly unusual, noting that Lorenzo’s sudden lack of communication was out of character. A search was launched, with authorities and the community working together to locate him. Unfortunately, the heartbreaking news of his death was confirmed by a family member.

A Facebook post by Texas Media Mash shared the update, stating, "Lorenzo’s family has reached out. Lorenzo was located but sadly, he was deceased. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers."

The outpouring of support has been immense, with several individuals expressing their condolences and prayers on social media. Susanne Smith commented, "Sending love and prayers to the family during this difficult time," while Karen Todd added, "So sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family."
