Longtime Cook County Farmer and Community Member Jimmy Bullard Dies at 78

Jimmy Bullard, a lifelong resident of Cook County, Georgia, passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 78. Mr. Bullard, who was born on May 10, 1946, spent his entire life in the community of Adel, Georgia, where he worked as a farmer and was an active member of the Community Calvary Holiness Church.

Mr. Bullard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margie Hickey Bullard, along with his three sons, Jeff, Jason, and Jody Bullard, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Lawson "Dink" Bullard and Isabelle Walker Bullard Jones, as well as his great-grandson, Jase Carlton Bullard, and his two sisters, Lounell Johnson and Geraldine Bullard.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Community Calvary Holiness Church, with interment following at Wilkes Cemetery. Mr. Bullard’s grandsons and other family members will serve as pallbearers.

The community has expressed their deep condolences online. "Such a great man," wrote Alice Ashley. Cindy Richardson added, "Heaven gained another angel." Boone Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the Bullard family.
