Long-Time Northampton Council Employee Ian Fox Passes Away After Battling Cancer

Ian Fox, a dedicated employee of Northampton Borough Council, has sadly passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Ian had been an integral part of the Council for over 20 years, working in various capacities, including security and town center operations, before becoming a full-time member of the team in 2018.

Known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication, Ian began his career guarding key locations like Greyfriars Bus Station and The Guildhall. After the closure of Greyfriars, he transitioned to Northgate bus station and later joined the Parking Team. His colleagues described him as someone who would consistently go above and beyond, often canceling personal leave or working extra shifts to ensure the smooth running of operations.

Alan Craggs, a colleague, shared his heartfelt sentiments, stating, "Ian was always at least a half-hour early for his shift just to be sure he started on time." His loyalty and dedication left a lasting impact on those he worked with, and his passing leaves a significant void within the team.

Ian is survived by his wife Caroline and his family, who are in the thoughts of his colleagues and friends during this difficult time.
