Long Beach Resident Edna Omana Tigas Passes Away After Battling Pancreatic Cancer, Family Seeks Help for Cremation Expenses

Long Beach, CA – Edna Omana Tigas, a beloved grandmother, passed away on September 6, 2024, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. The family, led by her granddaughter Raven Francisco, has started a fundraiser to cover the expenses for her cremation.

Edna, remembered as a loving and supportive figure, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2023. Despite her battle, she remained strong and caring for those around her. The family now faces the emotional and financial burden of her passing and is seeking assistance through a GoFundMe campaign organized by Raven.

The campaign, titled "Edna Tigas, Cremation Expense," has raised $170 so far from three generous donors: Ron Reyes, Stephanie Fuentes, and an anonymous contributor. The goal is to raise $7,000 to cover the cremation costs.

Raven expressed gratitude to those who have donated and emphasized the importance of support, both financially and through prayers, during this difficult time.

The Francisco and Tigas family deeply appreciate any contributions to help honor Edna’s memory and lay her to rest.
