La Porte City, IA – Keegan Brooks, a 16-year-old high school student, is facing a long road to recovery after being involved in a horrific car accident that claimed the life of a friend and left several others injured. The accident, which took place earlier this week, resulted in Keegan being airlifted to Iowa City, where he remains in the ICU.
A fundraiser organized by Alysse Johnson, titled "Support Keegan Brooks’ Long Road to Recovery," has been launched to help the Brooks family cover Keegan’s medical expenses and other related costs. As of now, the fundraiser has raised $9,599, surpassing its initial goal of $8,500, with donations pouring in from 185 contributors. The funds will assist the Brooks family with medical bills, travel expenses, and other necessary costs as Keegan undergoes treatment and rehabilitation.
One of the top donations came from Hadachek Enterprises, contributing $200, with Corbin Clark making the first donation of $100. The family is also receiving heartfelt support from the community, with many offering prayers and well-wishes for Keegan’s recovery.
