Cranmoor, Wisconsin – Ken Schunke, owner and operator of Hemlock Meadows Construction in Vesper, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident. The accident took place yesterday, leaving the community in mourning. His wife, who was also involved in the accident, was airlifted to Marshfield with injuries but has since been released.
Ken was a beloved member of the community, known for his energy, enthusiasm, and dedication. He leaves behind three children, including Jess Schunke, a cook and a member of the R&R Patio Bar family, who is also mourning this immense loss. Ken’s influence extended far beyond his professional life. He served as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army, completing over 250 combat patrols during his deployment in Iraq. Ken survived 12 IED attacks, showcasing his resilience and bravery.
