Lakeville, MN – Kathleen R. McDonald, a cherished resident of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 84, after a challenging year of being in and out of the hospital.
Kathleen, known to many as "Katie," was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She is remembered for her dedication to nursing, where she spent over 30 years touching countless lives with her compassion and expertise. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kathleen had a passion for the Minnesota Twins and enjoyed time spent on the golf course, activities that reflected her lively spirit.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, Pat McDonald of New Market and Tim McDonald of Farmington, along with her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Frejlach, and her sisters, Grace McDonald and Shirley Heyer.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, followed by interment at Saint John’s Cemetery in Veseli, MN.
