Judy B. Aldrich, a beloved resident of Shepherd, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the age of 76. She died at Select Medical Hospital in Saginaw after a life dedicated to her family, career, and personal passions.
Born on January 2, 1948, to Jim and Virginia (Schad) Leonard, Judy was well-known in her community for her love of yard sales and doll collecting. She was married to Gerald Aldrich and worked for nearly 30 years at Sealed Powers.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Julia Schmidt of Shepherd and Brenda Woods of Midland, along with her three stepsons, Jerry, Larry, and Timothy Aldrich. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Gerald and her daughter Linda Aldrich McNeal.
Berry Funeral Home, which announced the passing, will hold services for Judy on Thursday, September 19, at 11 A.M. with Reverend Bill Chu officiating.
Family and friends expressed their condolences on social media. Linda Loper shared, "My cousin Judy. Sending prayers for the family," while Linda Nartker Whitney commented, "I graduated with Judy. Prayers to her family. I recognized her face immediately."
