Josie Faye Edwards, a cherished member of the Front Royal community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center. She was 72 years old. Faye, as she was known to friends and family, was born on November 14, 1951, in Rappahannock, Virginia, to the late Odell Wines Williams.
Faye worked for several years at IGA, Royal Hill Apartments, and Schewels Furniture, earning respect and affection for her warmth and dedication. A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, she was deeply connected to her local community and is remembered fondly by many. She leaves behind her son, Timothy Weaver, and her great-granddaughter, Layla Heflin.
Royal Examiner, a local news outlet, paid tribute to Faye, stating, "Remembering Josie Faye Edwards: a cherished member of the Front Royal community."
