Joseph J. Scribe, Beloved Blairsville, PA Resident, Passes Away Peacefully at Age 59

Blairsville, PA – Joseph J. Scribe, a cherished resident of Blairsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on May 26, 1965, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Joseph was well-known and loved in his community.

Joseph, the son of the late William H. Scribe, Sr. and Barbara A. (Himes) Scribe, was an alumnus of Curwensville High School, where he excelled as an athlete, especially on the baseball field. His friends and family fondly recall his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys and his well-known love for ice cream.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Lord. He is survived by his daughter, Miranda J. Guerriero, and her husband, Matthew, of Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, as well as two sons, William Scribe of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, and Jacob Disshon of Sheffield, Pennsylvania. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Mandy Redden, and her husband, James, of Grampian, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Samuel Scribe and his wife, Angel, of Curwensville, Pennsylvania, and William “Herbie” Scribe and his companion, Doug Beyers, of Blairsville, Pennsylvania. Joseph also leaves behind four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Although no memorial service or visitation is planned, Joseph’s warmth, humor, and love for his family and community will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family has entrusted Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania, with the arrangements.
