Joseph Alvin Yanklowitz Passes Away at 30, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Kindness and Love

Joseph Alvin Yanklowitz, a beloved member of the Glens Falls community, passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 30. He died at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by family and friends who were by his side during his final moments. Yanklowitz was born on November 26, 1993, in Glens Falls, New York.

Joe, as he was fondly known, is remembered for his kind soul and politeness. He graduated from Glens Falls High School in 2011 and attended SUNY Adirondack, building lasting friendships and bonds in the local community. Joe’s death has left a void in the hearts of many, especially those who knew him from his time in school and in local sports.

Tributes have poured in from friends and loved ones. Sandy Ash shared on Facebook, "Such a kind soul. We have known Joe since Jackson Height days. Always so polite." Joan Chenier Piskothy also expressed her sorrow, saying, "Rest in peace Joey. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. You will be missed at hockey." Others, like Stephanie Gabris, shared heartfelt condolences, "Rest in Peace. Condolences to family and friends."

Joe leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth, and his parents, along with numerous family members, friends, and his cherished pets, Binx, Salem, and Felix Alvin.

His legacy of kindness and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him.
