Jordan Heffern of Sudbury, Ontario, Passes Away at 22; Community and Family Mourn Her Loss

Sudbury, Ontario – Jordan Angela Heffern, a 22-year-old Université Laurentienne graduate and aspiring mental health nurse, has tragically passed away. Her family announced that she died on September 13, 2024. Jordan was known for her vibrant personality, dedication to helping others, and her exceptional athletic abilities.

A graduate of Lockerby Composite School, Jordan pursued her passion for supporting young people through her work in the child and adolescent mental health program. Her dedication to this field was admired by those around her, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

The news of Jordan’s passing has deeply affected her community, family, and friends. Anton Niemi Fielding, a close friend, shared his thoughts on Facebook, saying, “I’m honored to have known you and to call you my friend. I miss when times were less complicated and we were just kids being kids, running around the neighborhood playing manhunt, or just hanging out at the park. Being in your presence made me a better person, and I thank you for that. Rest easy, Jordan.”

Others have also expressed their condolences online. Steve Crawley commented, “Sorry for your loss buddy,” while Tiina Kankaanpää shared a poignant message: “Get off your train at the station of peace, let the baggage go. Listen to the rails go silent…”

Jordan’s family and friends will honor and celebrate her life on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, located at 232 Larch Street, Sudbury. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at All Nations Church, 414 St. Raphael Street, Sudbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Jordan Heffern Memorial Bursary, which will support a graduate of Lockerby Composite School entering the nursing program. This bursary is a testament to Jordan’s dedication to helping others and her commitment to the nursing profession.

Jordan will be remembered as a beautiful, fiercely loyal, funny, and strong young woman who made a positive impact on everyone she met.
