John T. Crain, Beloved Danville Resident and Car Enthusiast, Dies at 79

John T. Crain, a lifelong resident of Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, at the age of 79, with his family by his side. Born on June 8, 1945, to Arnold A. and Helen (Davis) Crain, John was preceded in death by his wife, MaryAnn (Staley) Crain, who was the love of his life.

John was well-known in the local community, particularly through his involvement in car shows and auctions, where he built lasting friendships. Greg Cockrell, a fellow enthusiast, shared his condolences, writing, "Sorry to hear, knew him through all the car shows and auctions we attended, he was a great guy, RIP John."

Friends and family members expressed their sorrow on social media. "So sorry to hear this. He was a wonderful man!" commented Paul Zeke Zemont. Beth Cline Offutt added, "Sorry for your loss. Condolences to all of the family. John T. was a great man."
