Jerry Miller, Founding Leader of Michigan Lama Association, Passes Away After 3-Month Battle

Michigan – Jerry Miller, a beloved mentor and one of the founding members of the Michigan Lama Association, passed away this morning after a difficult three-month battle. Jerry, known for his leadership and commitment, played a pivotal role in the formation and success of the Michigan Lama Association, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by many in the community.

Jerry was more than just a member of the association; he was its heart and soul. His leadership and vision shaped the community and inspired many. His dedication and contributions over the years made him a vital figure within the association. His absence will undoubtedly leave a significant void in the lives of those who knew him.

Although there will be no formal funeral service, Jerry’s influence and memory will live on within the community he helped build. His wisdom, kindness, and guidance left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege to work with him.

The community expressed their condolences and grief on social media. DonnaJake Bowman shared, "Where do I begin? Where do you begin when you lose a close friend, mentor, and a family member? Jerry Miller passed away this morning. He fought a battle for almost 3 months. He was the leader and a founding person of the Michigan Lama Assoc. There will be no funeral service."

Others also shared their sorrow. Gary Surratt commented, "So sad to hear, he was a mentor to us when we got our first llamas."
