Jason William Melick of Blacklick Passes Away at Age 49, Family Seeks Support Amid Their Loss

Blacklick, Ohio – Jason William Melick, aged 49, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Born on October 2, 1974, in Newark, Ohio, Jason was the beloved son of William and Cynthia Melick.

Jason was a graduate of Utica High School, class of 1993, and went on to earn a degree in finance from The Ohio State University. He worked for SS&C Technologies, a role he held for many years. Outside of work, Jason was known for his love of sports, especially as an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Reds, and Ohio State teams. He also enjoyed playing cornhole and other sports with his son, Alexander.

Jason is survived by his wife, Lisa Melick, whom he had known since they were both 16 years old. The couple had been married for 26 years and shared a strong bond with their son, Alexander.

In the wake of Jason’s passing, a fundraiser has been organized by Jason Overbey to support the Melick family during this difficult time. The fundraiser has a goal of $6,500, with $100 raised so far by an anonymous donor.

Friends, family, and community members are encouraged to contribute to help the family as they navigate this profound loss.
