Janet Kay Pate, a cherished member of the Wesley Chapel, Florida community, passed away on September 13, 2024, at Moffitt Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She was 61 years old and succumbed to a nine-month battle with cancer. Janet, born on April 17, 1963, to Lawrence and Wilma (Leffler) Jantzen, is remembered for her loving spirit and dedication to her family.
Janet leaves behind her life partner, Damon Redditt, and her children, Samantha Pate, Tisen Pate, and Jonathan Pate. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and her sisters Dianna Carver, Sandra Jantzen, and Brenda Jane Teeter, among many other family and friends.
A post on Facebook expressed the family’s grief: "My heart is heavy with grief… Janet Kay Pate went to Heaven," said Tammy Carver. The family has chosen cremation, honoring Janet’s wishes for no formal service.
