Jane Marie Herman, Former Clerical Worker at Three Mile Island, Passes Away at 69

Jane Marie Herman, aged 69, of Hershey, Pennsylvania, has passed away on September 12, 2024. She was born on June 5, 1955, in Harrisburg, and was the daughter of the late William K. and Rosemarie I. (Nesci) Ritchey.

Jane Herman is remembered for her tenure as a clerical support worker at Three Mile Island in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her family includes her husband, William D. Herman; her son, Timothy D. Herman; and her siblings: William K. Ritchey, Jr., Thomas C. Ritchey, Joseph E. Ritchey, Eric D. Ritchey, and Nancy A. Tennis, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held, and Jane will be laid to rest in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Harrisburg.

Tributes have poured in from the community. Albert Keeney expressed, “Rest in peace, condolences to Bill and family.” Scott C. Darkes added, “Condolences to Bill and the family,” while Edward Eisenhour simply stated, “RIP Jane. Condolences to Bill and family.”

Jane Marie Herman’s passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her contributions and warm presence will be deeply missed.
