Hilo Ohana’s Seven-Year-Old Son Severely Injured in Hilo Home Accident, Fundraiser Launched for Support

Hilo, Hawaii – A tragic accident has left a seven-year-old boy from the Ohana family critically injured after being struck by a vehicle that crashed into their Hilo home. The incident occurred during dinner time, pushing the child through the living room. He was immediately rushed by medics to Queens Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for substantial injuries.

In response to this heartbreaking event, neighbor Lindsay Moore has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise financial support for the family. The funds will assist with medical, travel, and other expenses as the Ohana family navigates this difficult time.

The community has already shown its support, with 15 donations totaling $1,860 toward the $20,000 goal. Significant contributions include a $1,000 donation from Patricia Goodman and $200 from Alan Fukamizu.

Moore, who is hosting the family’s two daughters as their parents stay with their injured son at the hospital, is asking for prayers and healing for the Ohana family. “Please help us help a beautiful ohana in need,” she wrote.

The family’s home was left severely damaged, with the vehicle needing to be towed out of their living room and kitchen. The neighbors rallied to board up the home and offer support during this challenging time.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the fundraiser can visit the GoFundMe page organized by Lindsay Moore.
