Hamlin Resident James Jordan Passes Away After Battling Illness, Family Seeks Help for Funeral Costs

Hamlin, New York – James Jordan, a longtime resident of Hamlin, passed away peacefully on the evening of September 11, 2024, at 6:20 p.m. after a prolonged battle with illness. His family, including his child Brion Burger, shared that James had been fighting off and on with sickness, and despite his best efforts, the infections eventually claimed his life.

James Jordan, who was described as ready to meet the Lord after enduring many health challenges, left behind a family facing financial hardship. With no life insurance to cover the costs, the family has started a fundraiser to help with the expenses of his funeral and burial.

As of today, September 12, 2024, the fundraiser, organized by Brion Burger, has raised $180 out of the $20,000 goal through four donations. Contributions came from anonymous donors as well as Janet Wright, who contributed $50.

The Jordan/Burger family is deeply grateful for any support during this difficult time and is appealing to the community for assistance to give James Jordan the proper farewell he deserves.

Those wishing to support the family can donate directly through the fundraiser, with every contribution being a step closer to honoring James Jordan’s memory.
