Fundraiser Launched to Help Kaylyn Smith Recover from Severe Equestrian Accident in Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville, Florida – A fundraiser has been launched to support 18-year-old Kaylyn Smith, who is currently in the ICU following a severe equestrian accident. Kaylyn was injured while bringing horses in from turnout when she was kicked, resulting in a grade 3 laceration to her liver.

The incident has left Kaylyn hospitalized in a trauma center in Jacksonville, where she is receiving intensive medical care. A GoFundMe fundraiser, organized by Jeanne Benner, is currently raising money to assist with her medical bills and recovery expenses. The campaign has set a goal of $20,000, with $200 raised so far from two donors.

The donations, including $100 from Kelley Gilbert and another $100 from an anonymous donor, will go towards covering Kaylyn’s medical care and the support she needs for her animals during her recovery.

The community is urged to donate and help Kaylyn get through this challenging time.
