Fundraiser Launched for Janis Farmer’s Funeral and Flight to Ohio After Sudden Passing in Japan

Chillicothe, Ohio – Dawson Hoselton, an active-duty U.S. Navy corpsman stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, is seeking support through a GoFundMe campaign after the unexpected passing of his mother, Janis Farmer, on September 10, 2024. The fundraiser aims to cover the costs of bringing Hoselton and his wife back to Ohio for Janis Farmer’s funeral, along with the funeral expenses.

As of Thursday, September 12, 2024, the campaign has raised $165 out of its $5,000 goal from four donations. Contributions include $100 from Jennifer Murta and smaller amounts from other supporters like Mary Ellen Tellez and anonymous donors.

Hoselton expressed deep appreciation for any assistance, stating, "Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Please keep us in your prayers during this time." He encourages those with questions to contact him through Facebook.

The family is asking for prayers and donations as they navigate this difficult time.
