On September 13, 2024, Miya Kodama and a team of supporters launched a fundraiser for Jake, who sustained a fractured jaw in the incident.
The campaign has so far raised $10,385 towards a goal of $15,000. This significant financial support aims to cover Jake’s medical expenses, including emergency room visits, jaw surgery, and physical therapy. With his jaw wired shut, Jake is currently unable to speak and will face a prolonged recovery period. His inability to work during this time adds to the urgency of the fundraiser.
