England – A fundraiser has been organized by Rebecca Followell to cover funeral expenses for Andrew Oakenfull, affectionately known as "Oaky," who passed away unexpectedly, leaving his family and friends in shock.
Rebecca, who is Oaky’s stepdaughter, expressed her devastation in the fundraiser, recalling Oaky’s infectious personality, his sense of humor, and his love for raving and UB40. Described as someone who "lit up any room" with his jokes and banter, Oaky’s sudden death has deeply affected those who knew him.
The fundraiser, which aims to raise £500, has already garnered £110 from eight donations at the time of writing. Contributions have come from friends and well-wishers, including Keesha Gallagher, Jodie Perchard, and Wesley McDonnell, among others. Rebecca has urged anyone who can contribute, even a small amount, to help give Oaky the send-off he deserves.
The family plans to share funeral details in the near future, and Rebecca thanked everyone in advance for their support.
