Fundraiser Launched by Sarah Markie to Honor Daughter Ariyah-Rose Markie-Morton with a Perfect Headstone

England – A grieving mother, Sarah Markie, has started a heartfelt fundraiser to honor her daughter, Ariyah-Rose Markie-Morton, who tragically passed away in January. Ariyah-Rose was born still at just 22 weeks, weighing a mere 270 grams, and her loss has left a deep void in her family’s life.

In her emotional message, Sarah explained that her daughter was born "sleeping," and now, as the one-year anniversary of her passing approaches, she wants to ensure that her daughter’s final resting place has the most beautiful and fitting headstone. However, the cost of the headstone has proven to be a financial challenge, leading Sarah to set up a GoFundMe campaign.

Sarah shared her reluctance to ask for help but expressed her desire to create a special and lasting memorial for her daughter. "I can’t do much for her now she’s gone, other than make her forever bed the most perfect it can be," she wrote.

The fundraiser has set a goal of £500, and as of Tuesday morning, £65 has been raised through five donations. The contributors, including Kiah Ratcliffe, Alex Watley, Shannon Keane, Bethany Causebrook, and Sophie Best, have shown their support, with donations ranging from £5 to £30.

Sarah expressed her gratitude to those who have already contributed and shared the fundraiser, while emphasizing that there is no obligation to donate but any help would be greatly appreciated.

This campaign reflects a mother’s deep love and desire to create a meaningful tribute to her daughter’s memory, as the family continues to grieve their loss.

If the fundraising goal is met, Sarah hopes to have the headstone ready in time for Ariyah-Rose’s anniversary next January.
