Wilmington, NC – A fundraiser has been organized by Luke Phillips to support Drew, a friend of Anna Holmes, who was recently involved in a severe accident while visiting the Asheville area. The GoFundMe campaign, titled “Help Drew Recover from Accident and Injury,” was created yesterday and has raised $40 out of a $5,000 goal, with two donations already contributed.
Drew’s accident occurred when he swerved to avoid hitting a bear on the Blue Ridge Parkway, resulting in a serious crash that totaled his vehicle. He suffered a broken collarbone and is now facing mounting medical bills, alongside being out of work for an indefinite period. Financial stress is further compounded by the need to pay traffic fines and towing fees in order to access his belongings from the vehicle.
Anna Holmes, the fundraiser’s beneficiary, will manage the distribution of the funds to Drew. The campaign encourages donations to help alleviate Drew’s financial burden during this challenging recovery phase.
The two donations made so far include $20 each from Dara Keeter and Hunter Bailey. Supporters are urged to donate through GoFundMe to ensure that their contributions are protected under the GoFundMe Giving Guarantee.
