San Marcos, California – Francisca Garcia Vargas, a 76-year-old resident of San Marcos, tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle on Twin Oaks Valley Road at North City Drive on Friday, September 6. The accident occurred at approximately 9:07 p.m., according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.

Vargas was walking along South Twin Oaks Valley Road when the incident took place. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported her to the hospital with severe injuries. Despite the medical efforts, she sadly succumbed to her injuries later at the hospital.
