Fort Wayne Resident Linda L. Pennell Passes Away at Age 77, Remembered Fondly by Family and Friends

Linda L. Pennell, a cherished resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has passed away at the age of 77. She died on September 6, 2024, at Brickyard Healthcare of Churchman in Indianapolis. Linda was born on November 25, 1946, to the late Herman and Ruth (Hamilton) Palmer.

A graduate of the Indiana School for the Deaf, Linda retired after a decade of service at McDonald’s. Known for her love of card games, latch-hook crafts, and her famed deviled eggs, she was deeply appreciated for her commitment to family gatherings and potlucks.

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Carla Johnson and Jodie Pennell, as well as her grandchildren Eric Pennell and Jordyn Hannah. She also leaves behind bonus grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Her brother, Robert Palmer, and several nieces and nephews also mourn her loss.

A funeral service will be held on September 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Community members and friends have shared their condolences on social media. Mary Whitsit expressed, "Our deepest condolences," while Nancy Edwards wrote, "Prayers."

Linda Pennell’s warmth and generosity touched many lives, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
