Fort Myers Resident Caleb Hernandez Dies from Suspected Fentanyl Overdose, Funeral Fundraiser Launched

Fort Myers, Florida – Caleb Hernandez, a beloved father, son, and brother, tragically passed away on September 11, 2024, reportedly due to a fentanyl overdose. His sudden and unexpected death has left his family and friends in mourning.

In response to the tragic loss, a fundraiser organized by Natasha Ziegler has been launched to support the costs associated with Caleb’s funeral and cremation. The goal is to raise $6,500, with $400 raised so far through three donations. Contributions have been made by anonymous donors and Rebecca Thompson, with the highest individual donation reaching $250.

The family is seeking support to cover the financial burden of the funeral. Caleb’s viewing is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. as the family and community prepare to say their goodbyes.

Natasha Ziegler, who is coordinating the fundraiser, encourages anyone who knew Caleb or is moved by his story to consider donating to assist with the funeral expenses.

Caleb’s passing highlights the tragic impact of the opioid crisis, which continues to affect families across the nation.
